This web page has been machine translated. If there are any uncertainties, please refer to the Swedish text.

Welcome to an information meeting on the offer Civic tech. After the meeting, there will be the opportunity to mingle with other participants as well as meet the team at Vinnova. The event will be broadcast live on this page. The webcast will also be recorded and can be viewed afterwards.

What is the offer about?

We want more people to have the opportunity, through commitment and digital competence, to contribute to strengthening trust between citizens and the public sector. That is why we welcome project proposals that bring together engaged innovators of the public sector with digital expertise at the forefront.

We call the area of civic tech what we define in this the offer as: Use of digital technology to strengthen trust between citizens and the public sector. This is achieved by deepening citizen engagement with the public, opening up public administration and using digital technology as a lever for a new generation of citizen-related services.

We are looking for top projects whose results have the ability to scale up and spread. The project period may be up to 15 months. The goal of the project should be to develop a long-running prototype or finished service that will be demonstrated at an event at the end of the project period. The projects must consist of at least two actors, dedicated innovators and digital expertise at the forefront, and representing different sectors.

In this venture, we encourage citizen engagement, for example, by collaborating with the citizen as an innovator, designer, explorer, data provider, idea carrier, decision maker, or dissemination agent. We also encourage you to use open resources, such as open data, open hardware, open knowledge, or open source.

Sometimes we photograph or video record our activities. If you don't want to participate in photos or videos, please let us when you arrive.
