Svensk industri kan leda omställningen till en mer hållbar industri.
Sustainable industry
Swedish industry has the potential to lead the transition to a more sustainable industry, both within and outside the country's borders. Individual companies, but above all large parts of value chains, have the opportunity, through a collective approach, to bring about the change that is necessary for us to stay within the planetary boundaries.
This is how we want to contribute to a sustainable industry
By 2045, Sweden must be climate neutral, in order to subsequently achieve negative emissions. At the same time, a change is needed to become more resource efficient if the resources are to be sufficient. Business today accounts for a significant part of emissions and resource use, but is a crucial part of tomorrow's solutions.
Established working methods, techniques, structures are in their current form "linear". In order for us all to stay within the planetary boundaries, both in terms of emissions, resources, biodiversity and non-toxicity, new technologies, structures and business models are needed.
As a player to enable innovation and collaboration, Vinnova, together with the industry, wants to contribute to the transition. That is why Vinnova is starting the area Sustainable industry.
Through partnership programmes, knowledge exchange and calls, we want to contribute in four areas
- Climate neutral and circular production
- Resource efficient and resilient value chains
- Global competitiveness
- A socially sustainable industry
Through collaboration in these areas, we want to enable increased global competitiveness, where Swedish innovation both becomes an export product and creates global sustainability.
