Important results from the project
The aim was to strengthen Swedish connection to the ecosystem for innovative advanced materials at EU level. The goal was to get at least one of the parties involved in the planning project as a party in a strong proposal to CSA-the call for proposals HORIZON-CL4-2024-HUMAN-02-36 "Synergy with national and regional initiatives in Europe on Innovative Material". Chalmers Industriteknik was invited to participate as a party in a proposal with Austrian BNN as coordinator.
Expected long term effects
Through the applied CSA project, the Swedish ecosystem for 2D materials is linked even more strongly to the European ecosystem for innovative advanced materials. The CSA project will, among other things, work on mapping road plans and infrastructure from regional to national and European level.
Approach and implementation
The project was extended in relation to the original proposal. The reason was a reformulation and changed schedule for the topic within Horizon Europe that the planning project had as objective to produce a proposal to. Within the project, various strategies were discussed to reach out to possible European consortia. The result was that we used a number of existing contacts, including from Graphene Flagship and the policy platform for advanced materials, to find a good consortium.
