Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project is to contribute to the digitalization of pain care. The goal of the project is to take two overarching technologies, a pain therapy and generative artificial intelligence, respectively, put them together in a system and show that the prototype, a mobile application, is effective in a real environment, that is take the system to technical readiness level seven (TRL-7).
Expected effects and result
We expect app users´ pain intensity to decrease. The effects of this are, in the long term, better public health. Through the project, we also want to contribute to the digitalization of healthcare, develop and lay the foundation for next-generation technology, and develop skills and competence that can contribute to Swedish competitiveness.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is led by a mobile app company with technology support from a company that develops AI solutions. A medical university, plans and prepares in parallel for a randomized controlled trial. We use flexible methodology inspired by the waterfall model, prototype development and agile models. During months 1-4, the app is designed in close dialogue with test users, and months 5-8 core function development is planned in sprints. During month 9-12, a beta version is developed and tested.
